I think they're fun. They add a bit to the lore of the game, and some of the weapon skins you can get are nice-looking. I think it's worth the price even if you only play through them once.

yeah some of the weapons skins can only be gotten by doing those missions--and they are pretty cool skins.

It's also useful if you've got nightfall, as a starting character can play a mission and get max damage weapons right off the bat, plus giving koss turai's sword and shield is also good

It's nice for hero weapons and stuff. After you do all 4 playable missions, you'll get pretty tired of having to do them, though.
Actually, I've been wanting to get myself another weapon, but just haven't cared enough to actually do the mission required. They're just so....bleh. |

Personally I love the BMP.
Free gold inscribable R9 weapons, plus money for every discovery you make, and you get to learn a bit more about the little things. The only one I kinda dislike, is Master Togo's story. But I love the Tengu weapons. Edit: Sorry, but OT, yes it is worth buying in my opinion. I enjoy doing those missions and the money and weapons you get from them are definitely worth it. I think they're cute little stories, and the mechanics are unlike any other mission in GW. Gwen's story in particular is unique in that the "hide" mechanics aren't used anywhere else. Also, tengu weapons ftw.

it's great from a lore standpoint and the weapon skins are some of the best in the game imo. great for heroes and characters alike.

They're all pretty fun. The Qwen one is not very Guild Wars-ish. Weapon skins are nice, although some wands and staff skins are a bit large for my tastes. Easy way to get req 9 weapons.

I'd say some of the BMP skins are easily the best available for each weapon type. Tengu staves with a TexMod that changes the gold to black and the blue to red is awesome.

The weaps are handy, if you just want a max q9 to mod out it works out well. The Charr Staff is especially nice.
For the actual gameplay of it, it's probably not worth it, but if you're obsessed with having a weapon set for every season, it evens out. |

I'd get it just for the The Rise of the White Mantle quest. Saul D'Alessio has some sweet signets/monster skills. It's the only BMP quest I can 'speed clear' without thinking.

When you look for playable content it's far from worth it, so small. But it's a clever gimmick (the way f2p mmos do it) - the BMP is a sale of perfect nice looking weapons in disguise.

As a person who is highly critical of Guild Wars 1 and disliked a lot of the content added to the game later on, I find the Bonus Mission Pack to be one of the best, if not the best, additions to the game since Prophecies.
It tells 4 unique and compact stories about 4 significant characters and events in Tyria's history. You play as that character and your skills are both powerful and perfectly balanced for the areas you play in. This makes them more enjoyable than most of the games. The stories are nicely tied together with strong themes (both in their aesthetics and their narrative). If you are interested in Guild Wars lore you will enjoy the BMP. If you dislike the idea of playing with a pre-set (although powerful and balanced skill bar) without help from other players you might not like the idea. The weapon skin rewards are also nice as a bonus if you are into that kind of thing. |

Okay, you guys have convinced me to buy it. I just have one more question. How repeteable are they for the rewards. Can you get only one type of weapon per character. Or every time you play through the mission to you get to pick another weapon?

In short, every time you play through the mission you get to pick another weapon.

Also, after the first time through a mission you can try for mission bonuses in future replays. For example, one of the bonus goals ("discoveries") for Turai's Story is to complete the mission within 15 minutes. When you achieve one of the discoveries for the first time on the account, you get an additional reward of gold and an extra completed storybook that can be claimed by any character on the account. So, you could do the bonus using one character, get another weapon for that character from the regular storybook, and get an extra weapon for any character from the bonus storybook. |

Which of the missions can be completed faster? I got Turrai Ossa's Story down to ~15 minutes but haven't tried the others often enough to perfect them. If any of them can be done in ~10 minutes or less I might invest some time into achieving that. I'm guessing not Saul's, but perhaps Gwen or Togo? (Plus, I'm getting a bit bored with all the Undead items. )
